BEST CYCLING JACKETS OF 2016: CONVERTIBLE

To conduct our convertible cycling jacket test, test director Marie Malinowski used these jackets on multiple weeks of fall bike commuting in the Twin Cities and one month of mountain bike rides in a wide range of temperatures and wind. She compared them side by side rating them on our six main criteria—weathershedding, breathability, function, fit/comfort, packability, and durability. The Gear Institute Rating is the combined score across all categories, representing the highest overall level of performance.
