Cube’s Kid 240 Disc is in-between a kids' bike and an adult mountain bike, yet feature-wise has everything you’ll find on a full-sized bike, making it the perfect option for youngsters wanting to keep up with friends and family. Such features include powerful hydraulic disc brakes, a suspension fork, 21 gears and a premium aluminium frame with an optimised geometry for younger riders.

Perfect Weight for Children

The 6061 aluminium frame, which is heat-treated, is just as strong as an adult’s mountain bike, yet still the perfect weight for children. In regard to technology, its mechanically-formed tubes mean it’s totally up-to-date. This bike also includes a very low top tube, giving more manoeuvrability around on the bike. As youngsters are always looking for ways to test the limit, the derailleur hanger can be replaced.

Smooth Control, Grippy & Quiet-Rolling

This bike also comes with a comfy Suntour suspension fork and practical 3x7 Revo grip controlled gears. When the going gets too tough on the climbs, the 34 tooth sprocket offers you a simpler bailout gear. The reach-adjust brake levers are specifically built for kid’s hands and will give them smooth control of the Tektro HD-M286 brake system. The silky, grippy and quiet-rolling Kenda tyres and Pro wheel triple crankset seal the deal for this full-featured kid’s disc bike.

Technologies

Aluminium Lite: 6061 aluminium alloy requires a heat treatment for the finished product. It is a stiff, very corrosion resistant, fatigue resistant, high-elongation material suitable for light tube sets with high stiffness.
Frame Safe System: To protect the high-end frames from damage, they are built with the Cube Frame Safe System replaceable derailleur hanger. The mounting thread is in the hanger and not in the frame as usual. In the case of a crash, this hanger can be easily and quickly replaced with a new one.
Wet Paint Surface: On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. Cube uses this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.
