Get glittery for this riotous celebration of alternative club culture. After a high camp weekender at Butlins in Bognor Regis last year, Mighty Hoopla launches as a one-day outdoor festival. Expect All Saints, Sophie Ellis-Bexter and Charlotte Church's Late Night Pop Dungeon, rave act Snap!, Bongo's Bingo and drag-queen hoedowns. Be sure to catch neon-haired Finnish singer-songwriter Alma performing Chasing Highs, which you'll then be humming until Christmas.

After a one-year break and a relocation to London, Southport Weekender relaunches this year as a one-day outdoor festival. CampFire 2017

This overnighter is for travellers intrepid enough to schlep to the end of the Jubilee Line. It's set on a glampsite outside the north London village of Elstree, and hosted by Sir Ranulph Fiennes to raise funds for his Transglobe Expedition Trust. Taking place around a big campfire, eight adventurers will share their recent experiences with 300 lucky guests. Catch Spike Reid, just back from stand-up paddleboarding the River Ganges, and Laura Bingham who crossed South America by bicycle without a penny, plus eight-piece live band The Vagaband, free pizza from the Proper Pizza Company and bubbles from the Bubble Brothers Prosecco van.
